What happens after you get in touch

No forms to chase, no cost, and no obligation at any point. Here is the whole process, start to finish.

The four steps

  1. You tell us what happened

Pick the claim type that fits your situation and answer a few questions. It takes about a minute. You do not need documents, dates or medical records to start — just tell us as much as you know.

  2. We review it

A member of our intake team reads what you sent and looks at whether it fits the kind of claim law firms are currently taking. If something is unclear, we will ask.

  3. We call you

Usually the same day or the next. The first call may come from our automated assistant, which tells you what it is when it rings and asks the questions a law firm would ask. You can ask for a person at any point, or call us back and speak to one directly. Either way, if we do not think you have a claim we will say so — that is a useful answer too.

  4. We introduce you to a law firm

If your situation fits, we pass it to a law firm that handles that type of case. They decide whether to take it and on what terms. From that point the relationship is between you and them.

What it costs you

Nothing. There is no fee for the review, no fee for the call, and no fee for the introduction.

The law firms we work with in these cases generally act on a contingency basis, meaning their fee comes out of a recovery rather than out of your pocket up front. The exact terms are theirs to explain and yours to agree, and you should ask them to put it in writing before you sign anything.

What we are, and what we are not

Mass Tort Intake Center is a lead intake service. We take down what happened to you and connect you with a law firm that handles that kind of claim.

Some of our first calls are placed by an automated assistant. It identifies itself as one, and a person is always available if you would rather talk to one.

We are not a law firm. We do not give legal advice, we do not represent anybody, and nobody here becomes your lawyer. Talking to us does not create a lawyer–client relationship.

We also cannot tell you what your case is worth, or promise that a firm will take it. Anyone who does that on a first call is not being straight with you.

About time limits

Every claim has a filing deadline. How long you have depends on the type of claim, the state you are in, and sometimes on when you found out you were harmed rather than when the harm happened.

Getting in touch with us does not stop, pause or extend any deadline. If you think yours may be close, tell us when you call — and do not wait on us. Speaking to a lawyer directly is always an option.

Free case review, no obligation

Tell us what happened and we will look at it at no cost. It takes about a minute.
